Faith Formation Information

Faith Formation Classes
Weekly Sessions - Grades K-5  -  Weekly sessions for the elementary grades K through 5 will be held on Sunday from 9:15-10:15 am and on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:30-5:30 pm. In addition to the weekly sessions we will offer a 2 hour Saturday morning parent and child retreat for each grade level.

Sunday School - We will not be offering the Sunday School program for the 10:30 Mass. We are in the process of reevaluating the program and hope to have more information in the fall.

Youth Ministry/Faith Formation Classes
Weekly sessions for Grade 6-7 will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm. This year we will be holding a 6/7 grade retreat in collobrations with St. Edward's and Corpus Christi. In addition there will be more ongoing served opportunites available for our middle school. And, we hope to organize more community building activities for the middle school youth of our parish.
Weekly Sessions for Grade 8-9 -  Based on the positive feedback from Grades 8 & 9, we will be offering all courses from last year plus some new courses for our 9th. graders. Most of the courses offered will be on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 pm. However, some courses that include a service component may be offered on the weekend. Our Youth Minister will work closely with this age group on service and community building activities throughout the year. More information can be found on our Youth Ministry page.   9th. graders are required to take a course on Christian Sexuality teachings in anticipation of preparing for Confirmation in 10th. grade. This is a two hour course that will be offered 8 times over the course of the year.                                                                

Adult Faith Formation Classes
We will be offering a course on Church History facilitated by Fr. William Turnbull in October. More information on Adult Faith Formation opportunities at St. Mary's and in our Cluster Parishes will be available in mid-summer.

Sacramental Preparation -  
Special family centered programs are provided to prepare children for First Eucharist, First Reconciliation and Confirmation.

Baptismal Preparation -
The pastor meets with the parents of children being Baptized. Sessions are held as needed.

Catechumenate (RCIA) -
The Pastor and the RCIA Team provides a process for preparing adults for entrance into the Catholic Church.

Marriage Preparation
The Pastor and a team of married couples work with engaged couples as they prepare for the Sacrament of Matrimony.
